Noticing Wonder: Nature Journaling and Field Sketching
Join author/illustrator and nature journal educator, Rebekah Lowell, at the Main Library on Saturday, November 8th at 1:30pm, in this class that will cultivate your curiosity for the natural world.
The practice of nature journaling is calming, grounding, and rewarding. Nature Journaling is unique in that it combines the art of paying close attention with drawing and asking questions. Developing observation skills is important to every aspect of life from learning to communicating with others, to listening, being observant can be applied broadly. “I notice…”, “I wonder…”, and “It reminds me of…” are prompts that will help us dive deeper, ask better questions, and make connections.
