If you have requested an item but you decide that you no longer need it (you got it as a gift, borrowed it from a friend, or bought it, etc.), you can save us (and our partner libraries) a lot of time and shipping expense by logging into your library account and cancelling your hold (bonus: you doing this also will get popular items into the next users hands much more quickly!)
To cancel a hold from your account…
Step 1 – log into your library account, here:
Step 2 – Once logged in, click on the link with the red flag, indicating the number of items currently requested/on hold for you.

Step 3 – From the list of requested/held items, use the checkboxes next to the titles to indicate which items you would like to cancel. Click on the CANCEL SELECTED button. Alternately, you can click on the CANCEL ALL button to remove all holds.

Step 4 – On the next page confirm that you are cancelling what you intended to, and you’re all done!
