Maine History Through Visual Objects with Libby Bischof, PhD

Join us at the Main Library on Wednesday, April 30th at 6:30pm for Maine History Through Visual Objects! Professor Bischof will present a talk on Maine’s rich history using postcards, letters, photos and other items of ephemera. Sit back and see Maine as you never have before.

Libby Bischof explores American society through the lens of history — and the lens of a camera. She is the Executive Director of the Osher Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education at USM. In addition to her teaching and research interests, Professor Bischof enjoys working with local K-12 teachers and students and frequently collaborates with the Maine Humanities Council.
