Birds, Books & Beyond!

March 2, 2019 – 10:30 am

Come celebrate Read Across America Day and the end of our Winter Reading Program with four beautiful birds and their owners!  Join us on Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. for this special event.  SPPL patrons, Donna Ray and Linda Gervais, will lead a presentation about their four adopted birds–Angel, Rose, Rico, and Casper!  There is a lot to learn about these wonderful creatures, including what they eat, their exercise requirements, their native habitats, and their ages and life expectancy. We’ll also discuss why it is important to be kind to animals. Donna and Linda will be happy to answer any questions you may have after their presentation, and with some important guidelines, you may meet the birds up close!

This event is suitable for all ages, from the youngest animal lover to the seasoned ornithologist!
