Page to Stage

April 7, 2018 – 10:30 am

SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!   That is one of the many great tunes you will hear when the Snow Stage Youth Theater brings “Page to Stage” to the South Portland Library on April 7.   Directed and choreographed by Betsy Melarkey Dunphy and with musical accompaniment by Bobbie Muse and Hayes Porterfield, this musical review takes its audience through a funny, thoughtful romp around a WILD, imaginary library as the formidable Head Librarian, Miss Cranchett, attempts to maintain order!   Each of the sixteen Broadway tunes comes from shows that were based on books.    These include selections from “Oliver,”  “Matilda,” “Junie B. Jones,”  “The Little Princess,” “Aladdin,” “Mary Poppins,” “Dr. Doolittle” and many more favorites. The cast includes 11 local actors ages 6 to 15.

Admission is free.   Please join us on Saturday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Main Library Community Room. For more information, call Youth Services at 767-7660 x 3.
