Do you want to start writing but have no idea where to begin? Do you have a manuscript you want some feedback on? Or do you need motivation to stick to a writing schedule or overcome writer’s block? If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider attending one of our meetings.
The South Portland Public Library Writers’ Group is open to all writers—from those just picking up a pencil through published authors. Please join us for feedback, critiquing, and general discussion. If you’d like, feel free to bring some of your writing to share with the group.
Although writing is often a difficult, solitary pursuit, we believe that it is infinitely easier and more enjoyable with support from a writing community. Rather than a class or a workshop, we are a writing support group—offering encouragement, inspiration, and motivation.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 2-4 pm. New members can get more information by contacting the library at 767-7660. Please check our events calendar for the current schedule.
