In September, SPPL will be participating in Diaper Need Awareness Week through a two-week Diaper Drive! One in three families with kids under age 3 has at some point had trouble affording diapers. Diaper Need Awareness Week is an initiative to bring national attention and mobilize efforts to end diaper need, a hidden consequence of poverty. Individuals and community groups can drop off diaper at both the Main and Branch libraries between September 16 and September 30, and the library will donate them to a diaper bank.
