From June 1 to June 30! Infants and toddlers go through 6-12 diapers each day. The lack of adequate diapers to keep a child clean, dry, and healthy affects 1 in 3 US families. In order to help alleviate the financial strain on local families The South Portland Public Library is hosting a diaper drive during the month of June. We are partnering with the KJFS Diaper Bank, the largest diaper bank in Maine and the only diaper bank in Southern Maine associated with the National Diaper Bank Network. Diapers can be dropped off at the Main Library and the Branch Library locations. Sizes 5 and 6 are always in highest demand however we will be accepting all sizes.
