An Evening with Michael C. Connolly
Local author Michael C. Connolly visits the Main Library on Tuesday, December 17th at 6:30pm to discuss his new novel, Ever the Twain Shall Meet.
About the book:
Set against a backdrop of Maine and America in the 1930s and 1940s, it’s a riveting tale of murder, love and survival told through the eyes of two people from different worlds – Norma, a Yankee, and Mike, an Irish immigrant, who overcome significant obstacles in the name of love. As these two families face obstacles with respect, determination, and hope, Connolly paints a vivid portrait of Portland’s Irish heritage and the challenges of the era.
