After Hours with SnugHouse

The After Hours concert series welcomes SnugHouse for the next show on Saturday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Library. The weather may be getting frightful, but soulful, heartfelt music is sure to warm you up! Snughouse, a Portland-based folk-inspired quartet, melds stunning harmonies, masterful lyrics, and soulful stage presence into a sincere and captivating performance you won’t want to miss.

SnugHouse is composed of Nikhil Dasgupta, Alex Millan, Rosie Borden and Laura Pauline. Drawing from an expanse of influences, their eclectic musical palette is tied together with sincere and emotionally direct lyrics, and stunning four-part harmonies. SnugHouse tracks fit comfortably alongside songs by Darlingside, The Ghost of Paul Revere, and The Head and the Heart.

Since forming in the fall of 2017, the quartet has made profound headway in the local scene. To date, SnugHouse has made appearances on Portland’s two biggest televised music programs, and garnered regular radio airplay on all local stations, most notably 98.9 WCLZ.  The band has released two EPs: 2017’s self-titled, and 2018’s Like Water, with plans to work toward a full-length album.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., so arrive early to ensure you get a seat. To learn more about SnugHouse, you can visit their website HERE. After Hours concerts are sponsored by the Friends of the South Portland Public Library. For more information, call Circulation at 767-7660 x 2.
