Little Roots Musical Adventure!

SPPL is hosting two Little Roots workshops in April! Little Roots is a music program for ages 3-5 (with a caregiver), led by Amanda Panda, and based out of the 317 Main Community Music Center in Yarmouth, It introduces children to the joy of making music with other young friends through song, dance play and hands-on introduction to the ukulele. The class helps children feel comfortable exploring the elements of music in a friendly and playful atmosphere. Each 30 minute workshop at the library is FREE, and will feature songs, music games, and instrument exploration with the ukulele.

Little Roots sessions will take place on April 8th and 15th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please note that class size is limited, and pre-registration is required. You can sign your child up for either the April 8th or April 15th class in person at the Main Library, or by calling Youth Services at 767-7660 x 3.

Due to the popularity of this program, registration will open first to South Portland residents or library card holders.
