iMake, SPPL’s do-it-yourself series for ages 10-18, has a fun line-up of maker activities to keep teen and pre-teen patrons having fun all autumn long. iMake offers a new project every week on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. at the Main Library. Examples of past projects include duct tape roses, weaving on handmade looms, folded books, printmaking and more!

September 12: Wire flowers—Use beading wire and nail polish to create tiny, colorful flowers.
September 19: CD mandala suncatchers—Upcycle old CDs into beautiful suncatchers using window paint!
September 26: Solar cooker—Using simple household materials, make a solar cooker that really works!
October 3: Needle felting—Create two or three dimensional works of art made from colorful wool that you shape with a felting needle.
October 10: Harry Potter Howlers—Send a message to a friend, Hogwarts style!
October 17: Cork pendants—Recycle old corks into fashionable pendants, earrings, keychains and more.
October 24: Origami wallets—Learn how to make a simple wallet out of scrapbook paper.
October 31: Costume craft-off—Create a costume out of the supplied materials…within an hour!! Participants will have a chance to show off their creations at a mini-fashion show.
November 7: Headphone holders—Make a stylish case to store your headphones in, keeping them safe and tangle-free while still within easy reach!
November 14: Duct tape flowers & feathers—Use duct tape to make colorful flowers and decorative feathers.
November 21: Book turkeys—Fold old books into turkey centerpieces!
