3-D Pens

September 27, 2017 – 3:30 pm

Attention teens! You can now try 3-D pens after school at the Main Library! 3-D pens work by heating up plastic filament until it is soft, similar to how a hot glue gun works. As the filament leaves the pen, it hardens, allowing the user to “draw” in any direction–including straight up! You can use templates or draw freely. The options are endless! Beginning September 13, ages 10-18 are invited to learn how to use these amazing tools on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Teen Area.

Interested teens can sign up for a 20-minute slot. The sign-up sheet will be made available each week starting at 3:00 p.m. For more information, call Youth Services at 767-7660 x 3. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the South Portland Public Library.
