Story and Craft with Scott Morelli

Join us in welcoming South Portland’s new City Manager, Scott Morelli, at two special events! Scott will be visiting the Main Library on Thursday, May 18th.

At 3:30 PM, Mr. Morelli will be in the Children’s Room. He will read a story and stay after to chat and make a “community building” craft. At 6:30 PM, he will participate in an informal Q & A session. Bring your questions!

About Mr. Morelli

Scott Morelli has served as South Portland’s City Manager since March of 2017. With a population of 25,556, South Portland is the fourth largest city in the state.  Previously, Morelli served for seven years as the City Manager of Gardiner, Maine (pop. 5,800) and prior to that he was Executive Assistant to the Town Manager in Framingham, MA (pop. 68,318) for nearly five years.  Morelli is a certified manager through the Maine Town, City and County Management Association and is a credentialed manager through the International City/County Management Association. He holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a B.A. in Public Management from the University of Maine.  Morelli lives in southern Maine with his wife, Beth, and their three children – Olivia, Isabelle, and Amelia (and black lab, Bear).
