Genealogy Group

March 1, 2017 – 1:00 pm

The library’s new genealogy program kicks off on January 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with the workshop, “Beginning Genealogy: Stories, Records and Sources.” On February 15, Mason will cover “Short Basic Genealogy Research: Using Online Sites.” Finally, on March 15, she will present the topic, “Genetic Genealogy: Using DNA to Assist with Traditional Research.” Each month Mason will give a presentation on the topic, lead a Q & A session, and help the group with their research.

Following the third workshop, the group will continue meeting monthly on the third Wednesday of each month from 1-3 p.m. The Library has a limited number of laptops available to use for research, or participants can bring their own. For more information, call the Circulation Desk at 767-7660 x 2.
